Cliff Hanger – Dall Sheep
12H x 10L x 12W – Edition of 48
This ram was originally commissioned by a client in Alaska who claims this is the biggest ram he
has ever seen. The old sheep was tight up against a cliff at the end of his reign. The mass at the
base of his horns nearly disqualified him as a ‘thin horn’. Luckily, during the commission, Michael
and I made a trip to Denali where we got to study these sheep up close and personal. It was
rewarding to be able to incorporate the experience into the sculpture.
