One of the most endearing animals in Africa is the homely little warthog. Poor things, a face only a
mother could love. They have managed to not only survive, but thrive in the wild, with predators
such as the lion always on their track. My first sighting of a warthog was memorable indeed. We were
driving down one of the little dusty roads in Kruger and a warthog family emerged out of the tall
grass, taking chase of our vehicle. Momma was in the lead, the teenagers lined out behind her and
her unmistakable `follow me` tail. I`m not sure what they were going to do if they caught us, but
just being able to witness the ongoing procession was great entertainment.
