I was deep-sea fishing in Alaska one year when a fellow fisherman asked what I did for a living. In
a short time, we agreed that his little Lucy needed to be immortalized in bronze. I thought fondly of a pug that I took care of on occasion while working for a veterinarian. She would fly into the clinic with excitement and race back to her kennel, thrilled to be there. Her enthusiasm was contagious, I loved that little pug.
